Where we are
Both cottages are in Oxwich, a small village on the southern edge of the Gower Peninsula in South Wales. The area is part of the Gower National Landscape — the UK's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty — and is known for wide sandy beaches, coastal paths, and unspoilt countryside.
Oxwich Bay is around 0.9 miles away on foot or by car, with Rhossili, Port Eynon, Three Cliffs Bay and other well-known spots all within easy reach.

Getting here
- By car: the most practical option, and essential for making the most of the Gower. The M4 brings you into Swansea, from where it's a straightforward drive out to Oxwich.
- By train: Swansea is the nearest main station, served by direct trains from Cardiff and London Paddington. A taxi or pre-arranged hire car covers the final leg.
- By public transport: limited local bus services run into parts of Gower, but a car gives the most flexibility for reaching beaches, walks and local spots during your stay.

Nearby beaches & days out
The Gower Peninsula has some of the best beaches in Wales, most of them within 20 minutes by car. Oxwich Bay is the closest — wide, sandy and good for families and swimmers. Rhossili at the western tip offers dramatic clifftop views and one of the finest beaches in the UK. Three Cliffs Bay and Port Eynon are both worth a visit, and the Wales Coast Path connects much of it on foot.
