Things to do
From beach days and coastal walks to relaxed lunches and scenic drives — a few of our favourite ideas to help you make the most of your time on Gower.
Beaches
Oxwich Bay is closest — wide, sandy and great for families. Three Cliffs Bay is one of the most photographed spots on Gower. Rhossili offers dramatic open beach and big clifftop views.
Walks & views
Oxwich Point is a lovely local walk through woodland and open cliffs. The Three Cliffs Bay circular is a Gower classic. Rhossili headland offers some of the best views on the peninsula.
Food & drink
The Beach House at Oxwich Bay is a standout for a special meal. The Ship Inn at Reynoldston and King Arthur Hotel are good pub options. Mumbles is worth a trip for independent cafés and seaside spots.
Family days
Oxwich Bay is easy for families with younger children. Gentle coastal walks, beach cafés and scenic drives make it easy to fill a day without overplanning.
A simple itinerary
Day 1: arrive and walk down to Oxwich Bay at sunset. Day 2: beach morning, relaxed lunch nearby. Day 3: head to Rhossili or Three Cliffs before the journey home.
Good to know
Tides are worth checking before heading to the beach. Early mornings and evenings are quietest. Layers are always a good idea — weather on the Gower coast changes quickly.
